Novozymes, the world leader in bio-innovation, has today gained control of their inventory of gas cylinders and containers in the development and manufacturing facilities in Bagsvaerd, Copenhagen and Kalundborg.
The company uses gas from AGA to a wide range of applications, including liquid nitrogen for storage of cells, specialty gases in R & D laboratories, quality control and ammonia for the biotechnological production.
Furthermore, using welding gases for maintenance, construction and reconstruction of a pilot plant.
When Jan Sonne was commissioned to get an overview of the costs related with gas cylinders, the value of an AGA chip really hit him: "We knew there were some bottles around - we just did not know if these were ours, when they were bought - or to whom they truly belonged, "says Jan Sonne.
He continues: "We conducted a focused review of the physical bottles and bottle data associated with each bottle - and was subsequently able to reduce our inventory of cylinders of almost 40%. Today I also know that if someone were to take a bottle of our home, they will ultimately always credited our account - because there is a chip at the top. It's the economy; savings while minimizing rental costs in relation to the extent that is necessary. "
