New Plant in West Norway
AGA inaugurated a new gas plant in Susort on June 13, 2013 in Norway, just north of Stavanger.
The new plant will produce oxygen, nitrogen and argon for the offshore industry, general industry and health industry on the West Coast of Norway.
The plant was originally located in Köping, Sweden. The plant was dismantled and moved to Kårstø, in the Susort district of Norway. The NOK 100 million plant was inaugurated June 13, 2013.
“By moving the factory to Kårstø, we reduce the delivery time and increase security of supply considerably to our customers on the West coast of Norway,” says AGA Vice President IG Norway Jostein Thomassen.
“A major part of our customer base is located in this area. This reduces emissions and supports our goal of becoming certified under ISO 14001.”
The modern facility will be staffed by four and can also be controlled remotely from the AGA plant in Avesta, Sweden.
