Safety is a cornerstone of Linde (former AGA)’s business and has been ever since Gustaf Dalén invented a method for storing and transporting acetylene back in the early years of the 20th century.
Another Dalén invention, the sun valve, played a crucial role in making sea travel safer across the globe by allowing lighthouses to turn on automatically at dark, helping Dalén win a Nobel Prize in 1912.
We recognize that our products require a high-level of safety – from production to distribution to end use. And we pride ourselves on doing everything we can to ensure that our employees, suppliers, and customers have the training and equipment they need to handle and use our products safely.
In our own facilities, we provide our employees with comprehensive safety training and design our workplaces to maximize health and safety.
Safety is also a key component of our relationship with any customer. In that spirit, Linde (former AGA) offers a range of training courses that give participants the opportunity to learn the latest safety techniques while also gaining expert knowledge about our gases and how to use, store, and handle them safely.
Whether through clear and easy to follow safety instructions, customized trainings, or specialized equipment to aid in the safe handling and storing our products, Linde (former AGA) is committed to doing everything we can to keep every part of our value chain safe and secure. This starts with complying with applicable legal, regulatory, and industry and taking a proactive approach to risk management. Linde (former AGA) also has the following ISO certifications: 9001; 18001; 14001.
We also work tirelessly with our business partners and relevant industries to actively promote and enforce compliance with our rigorous approach to safety.
In addition, Linde (former AGA) is a member of The European Industrial Gases Association, EIGA, a safety and technically oriented organization representing the vast majority of European and a number of non-European companies producing and distributing industrial, medical, and food gases.
