Thursday 28 February, dignitaries will break ground for AGA's new air separation plant outside Vejle, in Denmark. With the new plant, AGA will triple its production capacity in Denmark, to meet the demand from the steadily increasing number of customers. AGA invites the media to the official groundbreaking ceremony that will kick off construction of the new air separation plant.
The new plant is located on a 25,000 square meter plot of land on Nimvej, northeast of Vejle. Due to a steadily increasing business growth, the current production plant in Copenhagen has become too small to meet the growing demand:
"More and more Danish companies are choosing AGA as a business partner, and over the past 10 years alone, we have increased our market share by about 10 percent to approximately 40 percent today. Therefore, we will now be tripling our production capacity to continue to service both current and future customers optimally," says Ole Kronborg, Marketing Director at AGA A / S.
Happy Mayor of Vejle
The new production facility will create five new jobs, while at the same time, 20 - 25 drivers will be joining the new plant, and Vejle Mayor Jens Ejner Christensen is looking very much forward to AGA to come to the municipality:
"I look forward to the new jobs - and not just the ones at AGA, it will also yield new jobs and orders to the local companies that will be servicing AGA in the future. Needless to say, we shall also be receiving increased income from the corporate tax".
Raw material out of a clear blue sky
The raw material for AGA's new air separation plant is plain, life-giving air, the air that all living creatures breathe. AGA purifies and cools the air to about minus 200 degrees Celsius, where the gases oxygen and nitrogen, among others, are liquefied and can be separated from one another. They then constitute a part of AGA's many industrial gases and specialty gases of vital importance for modern society and countless applications such as: Freezing and cooling of food, oxygen for patients in hospitals, drug production, electronics production, oxygen for the steel industry, purification of waste water and contaminated grounds as well as, and not least, welding and cutting in the industry.
Strengthened delivery reliability
With the new production plant, AGA further strengthens the reliability of supply for its customers, Ole Kronborg says:
"It is crucial for our customers that they have confidence in the continuous gas supply, necessary for their production. With our new plant and its tripled production capacity, we will be able to offer our customers a unique security. At the same time, they profit from AGA being a part of The Linde Group - the world's largest gas company - we have a strong supply chain that helps ensure that we always deliver”.
Press meeting Thursday 10 am
The press conference will take place on Thursday 28 February from 10:00 to 10:30 in a heated tent erected on the plot at Nimvej 5 (next to the Bredal A / S machine factory). At the press conference, AGA's Vice President Ole Kronborg, Mayor Jens Ejner Christensen (V) and Head of AGA Region Europe North, Andreas Opfermann, will give short presentations, and in connection with this, the media can ask questions. Subsequently, Ole Kronborg and Jens Ejner Christensen will turn the first sod, after which the media will have the opportunity to make individual interviews. In connection with the press conference, AGA hosts a small reception with snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
